I enjoyed my honeymoon in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world – the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. We stayed the first seven nights of our 12-day trip at Constance Ephelia, a massive resort that somehow never felt busy or commercial.
The hotel is about 25 km (roughly a 45-minute drive) from Mahe International Airport, along some very narrow, winding roads. We arrived early, enjoyed breakfast while waiting for our room, and then checked in, booked activities, and explored the resort.
Here are some of the highlights of this hotel that I think really makes this resort special and unique from the other resorts in Mahe.

The Room
Constance Ephelia has 313 suites and villas split between North Beach (226 suites) and South Beach (87 villas). North Beach is quieter and more secluded, while South Beach houses most of the facilities including restaurants, pools, the spa, and sports centre.
We stayed in a junior suite on South Beach, in one of the four horseshoe-shaped clusters. Each cluster has 4 suites on two floors, and luckily we were on the first floor with a spectacular sea view. Our suite featured:
- King-size bed with high-quality linens
- Small sitting area with TV
- Open-plan bathroom with twin basins, deep bathtub, shower, and toilet
- Private terrace overlooking the ocean
Tip: Both sides of the resort are connected by buggies that run frequently, so even if your room is on the other side, you’re never far from the pools, restaurants, or activities.

🍴 Dining at Constance Ephelia
The resort has five restaurants, each with its own theme and cuisine:
- Corossol – Main dining venue serving international breakfast and themed dinner buffets.
- Helios – Mediterranean buffet with a casual and chic atmosphere.
- Adam & Eve – East Asian cuisine with a focus on Malay, Singaporean, and Indonesian dishes. Don’t miss the desserts!
- Seselwa – North Beach a la carte Creole restaurant. I tried their national dish, bat curry, which was surprisingly delicious.
- Cyann – Signature French-Asian fusion restaurant for elegant dinners (we didn’t visit, too busy with buffets!).
Tip: Make reservations for a la carte restaurants in advance, especially Seselwa, as tables can fill up quickly.

This is Helios Restaurant located in South Beach offering a Mediterranean buffet. Its super casual and chic. The food was SO good!

Adam and Eve restaurant was also located in South Beach, right next to our suite. It serves East Asian flavours with a focus on Malay, Singaporean and Indonesian cuisine. It was so delicious and the dessert… omg the dessert – it was amazing.

My favourite restaurant was Seselwa, on the North Side, which a la carte dining with a focus on Creole cuisine. It was my first time trying a bat curry! Don’t judge me but its their national dish – so I had to give it a go. It was very bony, but tasted delicious.

💆♀️ The Spa
The U Spa by Constance is the largest spa village in the Indian Ocean. We had a one-hour full-body massage that was absolutely heavenly. The spa is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and features reflective pools and relaxation areas.
Tip: Book spa treatments in advance, especially during peak honeymoon and holiday seasons.

🌊 Water Sports & Activities
The resort offers a wide range of activities, mostly at North Beach:
- Snorkeling with provided gear to explore coral reefs and tropical fish
- Pedal boating (beware of rocks!)
- Paddleboarding and kayaking
Tip: Bring water shoes if you plan to snorkel or do water sports to protect your feet on rocky seabeds.

Zip Lining
Constance Ephelia is the only resort in Seychelles offering this, and it’s an unforgettable experience with panoramic views of the resort and ocean.

🎶 Evening Entertainment
The resort grounds are huge. I really loved the interior design of the hotel – particular the lobby which is basically a long open-sided walkway under a steep wooden roof. The main area is sounded by a reflecting water pond. It was just an airy design and crated this free space between the interior and exterior. When not eating in the main restaurant, we were sitting by the lively bar singing and dancing to live music or having shisha in the outdoor bar.
