Dubai Miracle Garden: A Floral Wonderland in the Desert

I first read about Dubai Miracle Garden on a travel blog, and it immediately caught my attention—it looked bigger and grander than any botanical garden I had ever seen. Fortunately, during my trip to Dubai in March 2018, I finally got the chance to visit. The garden opens annually from mid-November to mid-May, and I’m so glad we went because it’s far more than just a garden full of flowers—it’s an immersive experience with massive art installations, sculptures, and exhibitions. Everywhere you look, there are flowers. 🌸

Size and Scale

Dubai Miracle Garden is enormous—covering 72,000 m² with 45 million flowers in full bloom. It even holds a Guinness World Record for the highest vertical garden, which is just mind-blowing. Walking through it, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer scale and creativity behind each display.

Iconic Installations

One of my favorite sights was a working clock entirely covered in flowers—the hands actually move, which blew me away. But the real showstopper was the life-sized Emirates A380 replica, completely adorned with over 500,000 fresh flowers and living plants. At full bloom, this structure holds 5 million flowers and weighs over 100 tonnes! The Emirates logo alone required 9,000 flowers, and the large wings needed 100,000, supported by sculpted ‘tree-trunks.’

What impressed me most was the sheer effort behind it – 200 people working 10 hours a day for 180 days built this one structure! Considering Dubai’s intense heat, maintaining the entire garden is an unbelievable feat.

The clock below actually works and its hands move – the blew me away!

Why You Should Visit

If you love flowers, art, or just stunning Instagram-worthy sights, Dubai Miracle Garden is a must-visit. It’s not just a garden—it’s a vibrant, living art exhibition that combines creativity, scale, and beauty in a way I’ve never experienced elsewhere.
